Sustainability Disclosure.
Last updated: 15 July 2026
1. Our approach
We believe that environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors can affect the long-term risk and return of an investment. Where relevant to a mandate, we consider material sustainability risks as part of our research and investment process, alongside financial factors.
2. Sustainability risks
A sustainability risk is an environmental, social or governance event or condition that, if it occurs, could cause a material negative impact on the value of an investment. We seek to identify and take account of such risks in the selection and monitoring of investments, without overstating our ability to eliminate them.
3. Client preferences
Where a client wishes to reflect specific sustainability preferences in a mandate, we will discuss what is achievable and document the approach agreed. We do not make blanket claims about the sustainability characteristics of a portfolio that we cannot substantiate.
4. Note
Specific disclosures required under applicable regimes (for example the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation, where it applies) should be completed and stated here before publication. For questions, contact privacy@wm.johninvest.ltd.
